This is a picture of the new Prius fighter from Honda - they look vary similar to me (at least in profile). It seems cool and they're talking about a price tag around $18,500. If they can deliver a hybrid at that price point, that's pretty damn impressive. The Prius is quite a bit more and the Volt is double that.

The Japanese might get into a market share war. They'll build and sell them at a unit loss, and they're so flush with cash they can do it for a LONG time and all GM can do is sit there with its hands in its pockets scratching around for a couple nickels to rub together.

wait was this forum section always here? :huh: yeah anywho I wouldn't buy one. I like going fast but for a dd doesn't look half bad. What is the mpg?

On an "efficiency drive" they managed to get 63.4mph. On a mountain drive it still got 44mpg. Not too shabby.
