Anyone know a place in OC that rebuilds Whipple blowers?

I know Roush and Edelbrock handled rebuilds once upon a time. Contrary to what you might think, as long ad there is no damage to the veins or drive gears it should be a fairly simple thing.

I think there may be some damage. I hear what sounds like a rubbing sound to me. Just at start-up. Then it goes away after a few minutes.

Few of the meters we do are a positive displacement design. Unless you run dirt or sand through they're nearly impossible to fuck up. Are you positive it's the blower and not a pulley?

From my screw driver against the ear test, it sounds like it's in the case.

Pull the belt and see if it makes the same noise on a free spin
