So has anyone seen this runner that they're running gender tests on? (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1207653/Womens-800m-gold-medal-favourite-Caster-Semenya-takes-gender-test-hours-World-Championship-race.html) "She" is destroying the field... Look at the pictures though :sm_up_there:

So, what does motorgen say, man or woman?

By the looks of it, dude all the way. But nature does some freaky weird things sometimes. Maybe a hermaphrodite with male dominant features but enough woman bits to fudge the boundary.

That's what I'm thinking. Something is definitely strange :sm_up_there:

This is kind of sad actually. (http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/2631482/Runner-is-a-hermaphrodite.html)

I don't think this should of been made public. This person is going to have to live with how different she is and everyone knowing it. That has to be tough!:(

Did you guys see the magazine shoot where they put her/him in makeup and had her/him where a dress? She/he looked like a man in drag. I feel sorry for her/him.

I agree. It's just kind of a weird thing. I guess he/she has no uterus and no ovaries, but does have testes. The weird thing though is that his/her levels of testosterone are within the normal tolerances for women

I don't think it's fair to allow this person to compete amongst women if she has male sex organs and consequently more testosterone.

There are rules against taking supplemental testosterone for the same reason that men do not compete with women here. It's no miracle that men are typically stronger, have more facial hair and deeper voices. It's hormonal.

This isn't sexism, it's science.

Ergo, scientifically, now what?

You're assuming the tests that they do are designed to test for all testosterone in the body and not just supplemental testosterone (for which there would likely be more waste).

Look at his guns and tell me you believe that he has normal testosterone levels for a woman.

Btw, if memory serves, women actually have more testosterone than men. But less usable testosterone. Another factor that would throw off the test, because you and I both know that these tests were designed for weeding out steroid users.

It is a sad situation and the findings should been kept more private. They can say that she is not allowed to compete with women in competition but other than that lets just stop the flow of information. I heard something on GMA this morning that her body produces 3 times the amount of Testosterone as the average woman and that is not fair to other women competing with her. Not her fault but to be fair she should not be allowed to compete with women if that is the case and she is found to be XXY or whatever.

I Agree with you 100% Its sad that these reporters have nothing better to do than drag this person through the mud....
