Saw this and just our luck. The car will not be offered in the US. Fitting that automakers are making cars everywhere else but here that get better gas mileage. From the pic it is not a bad looking car.

Yeah, it's a diesel and the emissions laws on diesel are too strict here :bang:

The europeans have had 60-70+ mpg turbo dieseles for a long time. As part of our plan to save the environment, they're not allowed here because they pollute too much. :leaving:

Actually, part of the problem is that until very recently is that Diesel fuel in the US has been very high sulfur compared to Europe, who use a different refining process. If memory serves, they actually ship gas to the States that's left over from the refining as they use Diesel a lot more across the board than we do. I've been blasting around in turbo diesel Mercedes cabs in Germany and they'd make perfectly lovely daily drivers.
