My Procharger sounds like a roots blower winding up past 2500 rpm. What gives?

Also:

"If you don't know where to put it, ...put it here." That's what she said.

Might be time for a rebuild.

Yup, rebuild time. Bearing wears and the gears are no longer aligning the same way, which gives you the noise. Or you fucked up a seal, which means it's not oiling the same way, which means it's time for a rebuild. In either event Quality Bearing in Azusa has the bearings you need to do it yourself for far cheaper than anywhere else.

How do you repack bearings on these bitches? Need any special tools or presses?

You'll need some large snap ring pliers, a press and a puller

Fuck that. Im not pressing anything into a $3k aluminum shell. Does that place do the rebuilds too?

I didn't have to use a press when I rebuilt my Vortech. I just heated the bearing to 140 degrees and it dropped right on the shaft.

However, with how much the bearings cost it would not have costed much more to have Vortech do the rebuild.

A vortech rebuild starts at $700 not including shipping both ways. Besides his is a procharger not a paxton/vortech, so different category.

Jeeze shave your vagina and rebuild it. They're almost exactly like the blackmer centrifugal pumps that run 15k, whenever you decide to start rebuilding it bring it down to the shop and i'll hold your hand.

What else could it be?

Power steering pump, a/c compressor, smog pump, alternator, water pump. Anything with a bearing on the serpentine drive.
