The 1965 Shelby GT350.

C&D has been doing a bunch of these archived tests and comparos recently. Great idea!

If I'm not mistaken Glenn had one for a time in the 70s and sold it for an amount you don't want to know.

Then there is this 65, of course the only thing 65 is most of the body.

My son's 66 rustang, floors have holes, is like a slot car. really fun to drive.

When I was in high school I had a buddy who had a 1968 Shelby Cobra GT500 with a Cobra painted on the hood. It was a beautiful car.

Hopefully he had a good contract in place to cover at least the appraisal of the car, which depending on when could have been some serious scratch . . I shudder at thought of a write off based on "Mustang" valuations.

The contract had a stated value but they didn't want to pay anything their offer was $5,000. and then it took four years in court to get $8,000. out of them (yes it was worth more then that even back then)
I forgot to say but my favorite Mustang is a '67 GT500 (4spd car) I love the body lines and it's beyond fun to drive that's why I had to build one (and I knew I could never afford a real one)
