Most of you probably don't know, but cars and related stuff are really just a pretty recent hobby detour in my life. My real interests have been in the arts, music for me. (Actually my interest in cars is coming from an artistic way of thinking, but that's a different story.) Merce Cunningham died today, perhaps one of the last of the original old school innovators (for lack of a better term) in "modern" dance/movement.

I think what I like most about him and his work is the exploration of details in movement as they pertain to individual dancers, rather than forcing everyone through a cookie cutter.

Sorry to hear. I read about him years ago.:(

"In a career that spanned more than 60 years, Cunningham determined steps by chance — saying it freed his imagination — and shattered unwritten rules such as the need for dancers to face the audience and keep time with the music".
