Got a call from a telemarketer. Shes trying to sell me Cialis, so I decide to waste her time.

First I ask her what Cialis is, she tells me its for 'male functioning.' I ask male functioning? Like how? Made her explain it :)

Then I ask her about the pricing for 10, 20, 30... 100. We settle on 100. I start haggling with her. She wont touch the price so I ask her to go talk to her supervisor. She comes back with an offer for more pills at the same price. I say ok.

I tell her my wallet is in my car, so to please hold while I go get it. I put the phone down and made some spaghetti.

She hangs up eventually and calls back. Ive finished eating by now. I act offended and ask why she hung up on me. She apologizes, I eventually accept. I ask her to hold again while I get my wallet. She does, and I hit mute and watch some TV.

She hangs up, and calls back. I tell her that Ive been wasting her time. I told her that Ive asked to be taken off the calling list numerous times to no avail. And that I will be wasting the next persons time too.

I've been picking up the number that calls me about home security by saying "omg there's so much blood, tom, what do I do, she's dead, tom? Tom? They hang up every time

I use a white list for email. For cell, if I don't recognize the number I don't pick up, and even then only if I have the time.

I have two numbers that call every other day even though I've only picked up once. I've asked to remove me and they both still call.

Depending on your phone and provider, I think you can have numbers blocked completely so they won't even go through.

I have AT&T and they charge a fee to block numbers.

They usually call from different or even slightly different numbers

I used to be a telemarketer in high school, made good money too. Now, I cant stand them. The national do not call list is worthless as hell too. They always "get their numbers from a different list" or some stupid shit like that.

If you don't want to do blocking, you have to go unlisted and never write the damn number down or give it to anyone other than the circle of inner-trust. For me at least, it's in the realm of minor nuissance, not major hassle.

As everyone here knows that's how my phone works, yet somehow I still get calls.

I only put his number down for free raffles or when signing up to really seedy porn conglomerates. Is that wrong?

Number blocking and do not call listing is useless and with auto dialers any number is vulnerable. I have one line that gets hit 6-8 times a day. I don't answer it I wait to hear the msg being left. Some are so good their recording waits for the answering mach to activate to leave a msg.
If I answer doesn't matter if its male or female I ask "Is this a obscene phone call" ?. No? I only accept obscene calls do you want to keep talking?"

TM: I'd like to talk to you today about our new Cialis offer.
CUSTOMER: Interesting. First, tell me what you're wearing.

Then you gotta keep going, you started it.

And record it for the love of God. It could be an epic "crank yankers" kind of moment.

I had one black gal that didn't want to go there but still wanted to sell me her product. She did take my comments good naturedly

I'm pretty sure that as long as you don't make a threat, and flirting is not a threat, even if sort of crerepy in scope, you're ok. Sexual harassment is pretty limited.

One of my ex girlfriends did telemarketing, she had some interesting stories about it.
