Hey guys, been a while since I was in here. I've been bugging a couple of my vette buddies to put another track day on, and they finally gave in

Instead of Buttonwillow, they want to do Willow Springs Big Track. Makes sense. One has a C6 Z06 carbon and the other a C6 ZR1. And they both drive like absolute maniacs. Anyway, this will be a fun one. I made a post in the events section. Please read it over and LMK ASAP if you are committed to go.

It will be a blast, as always, private rentals are so much better than the BS that Speedventures or Extremespeed put on. Not knocking those guys but c'mon... when you own the track with your buddies, it's gonna be a better setup!

Fart. I’d join you Mike but I’m already committed to doing one of those B.S. events a couple weeks earlier. :smack: http://speedventures.com/events/eventdetail.aspx?id=420 (Saturday) Have fun you guys.

Hey Jon!!! I was just talking mess. BUT, you will obviously have a great time regardless. You and George! However.... you and George should be on our email list. I'm telling you.... our private days are so much better than the other ones. We do whatever the heck we want.

Crap.... must be a bug. It worked fine the other day when I posted it. Yeah, here's the lowdown... I made a few posts in car forums, here's one in Track HQ.

http://www.trackhq.com/forums/f7/willow-springs-big-track-private-rental-20-cars-friday-april-19-2013-a-6030/

$250
20 cars THE ENTIRE DAY
PRIVATE RENTAL
NO F'ING RUN GROUP BULLS*T
NO TIME LIMITS

Trust me, you'll have plenty of times where you HAVE THE ENTIRE TRACK TO YOURSELF. You can focus on your driving, not the guy in front of you going too slow or the nutjob riding your a$$!

Oh... and check out this corner-by-corner guide to the track.

I'll be there Saturday as well, I've never done Buttonwillow so it should be fun.

This is the last week guys. From the track day organizer:

---------------------------

Hi all,

checked the weather for the 19th, high of 81 and sunny. bring your sunscreen.

Objective - FUN!
Schedule:

7:45am drivers role call (will take place in the Paddock diner)

8:15am drivers meeting (will take place in the Paddock diner)
9:00am first group on track

9:20am second group on track

we will run a couple 20 minute sessions in the morning to split the group in two, by about ten the track will go 'hot' (open all day, no groups)
12ish will break for lunch (one hour)
1ish track is open and 'hot'

5:00pm track closes

6:00pm gates close

so that's the schedule for the day. In the drivers meeting I will go over everything with more detail.

as far as safety equipment, the only requirement is that you wear a DOT or Snell approved helmet, and of course wear your seat belt.

Paddock diner will be open. (will update on opening time)

at the track; gas, compressed air and tire service is available.

as always bring plenty of water or what ever your choice for hydration is. no alcohol for drivers until 5:01pm
don't forget to study this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLCpHnA54cQ
attached check lists again as well.

See you at the track!
