Burj Dubai - World's tallest building

Before the financial collapse people in Dubai were building some crazy stuff. The Burj Dubai is schedule to be completed this year and will become the tallest building in the world at 2684ft!!! For reference the tallest building in Los Angeles is 1018ft tall and the tallest building in the United States (the Sears Tower) is only 1730ft even with the antennas. Pretty amazing I think:

I didn't catch the details, but an article was talking like this gamble might not pan out. The showed a picture of Dubai under a dust storm. It was the strangest looking ghost town ever.

Except for the getting blow'd up part, I'd love to go to the Middle East someday. Maybe we'll work out our little family feud eventually.
