Necessary preface, Im not a racist... nor is anyone living on the west coast since 1870. But is it just me, or is it really obnoxious when someone decides to speak a foreign language loudly, in a small public space like an elevator or a line at a retail store?
Even speaking English, if Im in line with a friend and I have something to say, Ill keep my damn voice down out of respect for other people.
But its just something about some people, particularly people who speak a foreign langauge, that just love chatting it up at rude and obnoxious levels... that really just pisses me off. Keep your damn voice down, no one wants to hear your stupid fucking conversation. Fuck you, shut up, fuck you.

Sounds more like a volume issue. I've run into this plenty of times with English as well. They could be hard of hearing a bit and need to speak extra loudly to hear them selves (important for language production). There are some possibilities other than "fucking assholes" . . though not many . haha!

That's funny. I'm on a conference call with a Chinese customer and having a hard time understanding some of what he is saying.

And even though Im sure people in other countries make fun of Americans who cant speak their language either... so Im sure this is all justified... on a side note, good for them.
I went to school with this girl from France, who was studying abroad. And she actually just took the bar out here. I cant imagine... having to speak a different language in a different country everyday, let alone, TAKING THE FUCKING BAR USING YOUR SECOND LANGUAGE. Fuck me.

I had two colleagues on the line with me and at one point during the call the three of us emailed each other because none of us understood what he had just asked. Our sales rep politely asked him to repeat himself and the joke emails continued throughout the rest of the hour call. I'm usually pretty good at understanding this customers reps but this one guy had a really strong accent.

Ha, I mean... I wish I was single while I was sitting next to the hot French exchange student. I would have taken advantage of the situation.
