Yellow vs Red vs Blue Headlights

Adding this post for a friend who has a Mazda 3 and wants some feedback.

How do yall feel about blue, red and yellow tinted headlights? Please vote

It would be helpful to know what color his car is as IMO that has a strong influence on what color the lights should be.

I don't like tinted headlights.

I tinted my headlights on my Eclipse a couple years ago and it looked awsome but really killed the actual usage of the headlights. That and I got a fix it ticket for it too. Ended up having to buy new headlights to get it signed off. Because of that, and the fact that you cant see other peoples lights that well tinted, I voted for being gay. If its just a show car and a show car only, knock yourself out.

Red and yellow are ok on race cars, everything else is gay.

As with most things Hendrix has already summarized my feelings on tinted head lights. For those with ADD, you can go to about 1:40. Great song, and apropos.

Red & blue are probably illegal, and yellow is just ugly. No headlight tint ftw.

Damian, what color were yours tinted that killed your usage?

Light grey tint. Looked awsome on a charcoal grey car but really kills the light output. Now I just stick with black housing headlights.

Tint is used to reduce light intrusion so putting it on headlights seems, well, dumb. Maybe the yellow is useful if you spend much time driving in fog/mist conditions where you want to cut down on the reflective properties of the light, that yellow cuts right through the fog/rain.
