Why build something like that?

My snake could swim in the pool BTW. No pun. I had a 7 1/2 foot long red tail columbian boa constrictor, we'd throw him in the pool and he'd swim to the other side, keeping his head above the surface.

Technical challenge. The Japanese are WAY ahead of everyone in robotics. What was learned will be documented and shared amongst their industries.
