Anyone have a hookup on QA1 shocks? I need to get rid of these torsion bars ASAP and coilovers are what I want. Summit has them for $150 something for one, just seeing if I can get them cheaper.

They're owned by UPR.

1 - Any company + Sucks turns up results
2- (More importantly) If company A owns Company B does not mean company has the characteristics of company A . . necessarily.
So, is there a specific problem with QA product or service? Or simply a superior value choice?

QA1 Is UPR, same building, same employees, same shitty offshore chinese parts that are ripped off from other companies. UPR's negative past goes back YEARS from fucking over countless customers and designers, to selling sup quality parts with absolutely no factory support. I've been fucked over, Ron has been fucked over. Justin, Nate, Shawn and myself have had direct contact with the owner and top brass from UPR/QA1 and they are just piss poor lying sacks of shit that will peddle any amount of shit to make a buck.
Search ANY mustang board about UPR and you'll find 99% of them to be bad reviews.

That's pretty clear. . .
So, what would you recommend for Damian then?

Bilstein, Tokico, koni, Eibach, H&R are all great options

Do any of them have coil overs at $150/pc? (I'm going for three lmgtfys in one thread.)

Strange makes a decent coil over thats affordable. The best bet is an expensive traditional dampener with a conversion kit.

Another for a polite STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM UPR.

I didn't have a problem with the product quality but their customer service is horrible. I will never buy anything from UPR again.

No one makes a coilover kit for us, so we have to make our own. Quite a few Typhoon and Syclone guys use QA1 with no problems.

Try strange, they're who UPR ripped off to begin with.

They have nice stuff but double the price.

The cost of innovation versus theft. It's more an ethical question for me. And support.

Sometimes twice the price is cheap. . .
I don't care about the copying part, but the quality and support can matter a lot. I also generally don't like to give any business to douche bags if I can help it. :smack:

Word... I've had cheap ($200 set) of Tokiko HP's along with a set of Eibach pro-kit springs on my Mustang for about 6 years now and about 50,000 miles. They perform quite admirably considering the price point. In fact, my Mustang rides better with the eibach kit and Tokiko HP's than it did when it was stock.
If/when I decide to install MM coilovers, I'll definitely be buying Bilstein.
QA1 blows and as Guy said they're made and distributed by UPR who makes junk copied products.
Maximum Motorsports suspension parts aren't that much more expensive than UPR, and they are so well designed and engineered you'll save money/time on your install anyways.
