It is with great sadness I type this today but Shawn just informed me that Pacific Engine will likely close this year. Shawn is leaving end of next month to go with another family business endeavor and will no longer be a part of the business. Dick, his father will be coaching the new owners and then relieve himself from the business and retire at the end of the year. Our family has been using them for 20+ years and its depressing to thing they wont be across the street any more for shooting the shit or working on stuff with us anymore.

If you were putting some engine work off, now is the time to do it before you have no more economical options, not to mention having work done by great people.

Worst part is what he said "Yeah thing that sucks the most was not being able to see your cars and our work finally run"

:( :( :(

My buddy should have his engine torn down soon. Does Shawn still have the heads? He wants to buy them when he gets the rest of engine work done.

Damn, that sucks. Good thing I got my motor done when I did.

For others they are losing cheap engine work, but for us we're losing some great friends :(

Hopefully the new owners will continue the legacy.

I doubt they will do as good of work for as cheap as Shawn and Dick do.
