We''ll have to punt this year. No MG OG is available to commit to the meet up and cruise out. I encourage anyone looking for a nice Holiday thing to do with friends and family to consider rolling out to the Mission on their own as time and circumstance allow.

OP
See here (http://g.co/maps/cyr59) for route.

Meet at Savi Ranch (A) at about 3:00pm. Leave about 4:00pm. Depending on traffic (sometimes the 91E is not friendly even on a Sunday afternoon), you should arrive near the Inn before 5:00pm, with plenty of time to see the lights, take a horse ride, go ice skating or eat at any one of the many restaurants in the area. (B) is or at least was public parking. If you want to enjoy the crazy and cruise Mission Inn Blvd, it's just one further exit up past University.

NOTE: If you want to eat at one of the restaurants inside the Inn, they have a couple going fairly upscale, you would want a reservation.

Here's a video of the last time we went a couple years ago. It was MUCH later so there wasn't so much going on. It will be busy as hell this time. The Mission part starts from around 6:32

Are the lights worth the drive?

Definitely a cool venue. If you're lucky you'll get to see me nearly beat the shit out of a drunk asshole and get tossed from a AYCE sushi bar for eating too much. Hopefully i'll be able to roll this year.

A former co-worker went this last night and posted pics with fireworks and lights. Must have been the first night. Lights look good.

It just started. Drove through there today for other reasons. While I can't go again this year gosh dang it, I'll still organize it. I think it's a hoot, but more on the girlfriend/family sort of outing, not romping around the mountains or anything like that.

I already have 2 other conflicting events that day...Camaro club party or part 2 of a 16 hour Toyota hybrid service class.:bang:

I will NOT be able to make it. Is there any MG person who can for sure make it? If not, I will not promote to other sites. Please advise.
