Edit: Tucker Tire to the rescue! Took it over there and they plugged it in like 10 minutes for me. Hopefully it holds till I at least I find a job.

Sounds good. Because the route returns past the meet spot you can just drop me off there on the way back and you don't have to make any extra legs for me.

I pretty much drove the speed limit once, slowed in the turns and she still was white knuckled. On the way back at night though, I followed a BMW and went faster and she was fine. I think the combo of a car in front of us mixed with the fact she could not really see in the dark helped.

I have too much video and not enough time to edit it but how did you do that?

Its quite simple i just run two commands on my server and it spits out a time laps video...no sound but that can be added later. I'm just trying it out to see if it will work out for what I want.


It's much easier to sit and watch a 2 min video of a 30 min drive and not a 30 min video.

I've never done it on windows but the same steps should work for you.


Download and install ffmpeg

then run this command

ffmpeg -i VIDEO_PATH_GOES_HERE -r 2 -f image2 ffmpeg_temp/%05d.png

This will take 2 frames every sec and put them into a folder

then after that is done run this command

ffmpeg -i ffmpeg_temp/%05d.png -b 4000k OUTPUT_VIDEO_NAME

True except this only takes 20 mins to do. And i'm still playing with how I deal with the frames.

I'm gonna try and mix in normal video with the timelaps, and see how that works out.

You & I have ended up running together on most of these and I think you drive just fine. It was the motorcycles in front of Leedom that were holding up the show; he was waay patient with them. Maybe I’m turning into the uncompromising crusty old man who shakes his fist and tells the kids to get off his lawn.
