View Full Version : My DroidX Was Acting Whacky

One of the reasons I went to a smart phone was for GPS Navigation, which worked great on my DroidX for awhile, then it started getting confused more often, then finally it just couldn't find GPS Satellites anymore. Went to the Verizon store and did a hard reset (which unfortunately means you have to reinstall your apps) and it works as good as new.
Still spontaneously shuts itself off when I'm walking and listening to a Podcast or working out at the gym. Can't be too picky I guess. It's not an iPhone which I think I'll go for next time.

I can't say enough nice things about my phone. I've had a few and all has what I consider to be major OS flaws. When I went to upgrade, this is the only phone that had an almost impeccable track record. The only complaints most had was battery life but apple recently discovered a bug in the location services that was hogging battery and it's all better now. I'm never looking back.

Yeah, everyone told me what hot shit they were. I say bull shit. At BEST, no better than AT&T.

Both AT&T and VZ have there drawbacks.
I for one enjoy AT&T (still have a truly unlimited data plan, I use about 4 -5gb a month with no tethering ) and I have great coverage in my area.

A rugged smart phone would sell to many blue collar workers because my phone gets a lot of abuse.

I'm getting pretty handy with Swype and my brother has the two thumbed adaptive text down on the iPhone.

97% of the nerve endings in my arms front the elbows down are damaged/dead. Anything like a touch screen is hard to use.

Dude it still works, Vanessa ran it over like 4 times. I ran it over a few times, dropped it in a fire pit, buckets of fuel, off the fuel dock, anger spurts, random "i feel like throwing my phone at jamie" moments. I miss that phone, too bad all it did was make calls
