So I lost my wallet at Costco. Just fell out of my sweatshirt while loading the truck probably. I went back and nobody had turned it in. Then while on the phone at home with Amex, beginning the laborious process of cancelling and replacing my cards, someone knocks on my door. A nice young man had picked up the wallet at Costco, decided not to turn it in there but to deliver it to me directly to make sure I got it. Everything was there and he absolutely refused to accept any cash despite my insistence. Wow. . .

What troubles me most about these stories is that people are shocked when folks do the right thing.

Glad it turned out swell.

There's a lot of news about how crappy people are. I just wanted, more than anything to tell a personal story of someone going a bit beyond my expectation of the right thing. Just turning it in at Costco would have been good, delivering it is above the call, delivering and refusing to take any money for his time and effort is well beyond the call of the right thing.

Karma dude, karma… This is one of those “warm fuzzies” that come along once in a while. I was having kind of a crummy day until I read this, thank you Vettezuki.

Ahhh, herein lies the problem Jimmy (it's just something I say), you been watching that news shit again.

For some reason tragedy, violence and mayhem keep our attention quite nicely, has ya glued to the set so the networks pump out news involving tragedy, violence and mayhem. The networks sell advertising time during the news and if you haven't noticed lately the 'news' is on a lot in one form or another.

So, put one and one together and you get about a boat load of cash from advertisers who want to sell shit to those sheeple in front of the television watching tragedy, violence and mayhem...

And the occasional warm fuzzy drivel at the end so you don't hang yourself before 11pm

Happy Monday everybody!

It's nice to see honesty, integrity, & perserverance outside of being in the Military IMHO....
