I was working on the Cobra the other day and afterwards I took it for a test drive. There's a nice little twisty road just a little ways from my house that I like to take because it has a 1/2 mile straight and then gets twisty afterwards.

So I was on the straight and floored the car through 3rd gear, shifted into 4th and let off the gas. Just as I did I heard a huge BAM behind me and then something flew in front of my face. I thought I blew up the rearend but couldn't figure out what would have flown forward.

I took a look in the rearview mirror and saw a bird stuck between the package tray and the rear window. It flew in through the passenger window and struck the rear window. I'm really glad it didn't break because I was doing about 90 at the time.

Once I realized what had happened I pulled over and and got a latex glove out of the trunk and removed the bird. I'm just glad I didn't have anyone else in the car at the time.

That's what happens when a bird messes with a Cobra.

They were in there from when I ran to Pick-A-Part last week to get the 5.0 fuel lines. I usually have them in my tool bag that I carry in the Explorer which I had the Cobra at the time.

Because you never can tell when you'll need to get dirty, but you never have to be unclean...
