They have the body design done. It was a contest in GRM. I'm excited about this car because it could be really fast for $25K.

The Type 65 is a classic, but this P818 will be a modern serious hi performer. There targetting an entry of $15k ($10k for kit + $5k for donor). Of course you go Gucci with engine and running gear and you could have an absolute, tear your face off kinda car for <$30k for sure.

The design isn't settled as far as I know, they just announced winners of their contest. My guess is they'll be reviewing the designs and integrating features. In any event, unless it changes massively from the concepts, it'll be a pretty good looking car too. The GTM ain't bad for a kit car especially, but still a little clunky and unfinsihed. With all the advances in design and tooling, this could be much closer to a complete finished car with no odd dangling ends.

It's an excellent platform (AFIK) and decent looking, but still looks like a kit car, that's all. To me that's not necessarily a bad thing. It can bring exotic level performance to the working man, and the GTM does.
