I'm probably not the only one who feels this way because corporations don't just go will-nilly into the market place with potential piss off ideas. But I might of, errm, cough, emailed Ford once or twice on going for the jugular and reminding the buying public that they are the true American company, and that GM are a bunch of whinny "daddy save me" socialistic nannies.

Now, if Ford would just build a god damned two seater sports car.

Like this would do just fine, say twin turbo 5L.

That's quite a stretch I think, even with the cartooning.

It does bear some resemblance to some cues from the Alfa Romeo 8C though.

You've taken some trauma to the head over the years huh? :smack:

A totally different direction, rather than the modern Euro-coupe, would be to go retro with a Type 65 take off.

It's a little sensitive, but if it's from YT, just paste the link in where you want the video, don't put anything around the link. However, these days, there's a bout a million ways to form URLs because of how people use them to do tracking, and our plugin is pretty dumb. The URL would need to look like:

More than you would like to know im sure, bone scans show increased thickness now however. Now that car is sexy, but that other ugly "looks like a solstace had sibling sex with a focus now retarded child" car is something i would have had as a hotwheel, and probably burned for being so fucking ugly.

Did i also mention its uglier than micheal jackson when his nose fell off.

I was talking with Sean and I agree with him... why invest all the money in a 2 seater when you may only sell about 30K units a year? Not saying I would not want it but I see why not.

Why'd they build the GT then? It can be a Halo platform. As for total units globally, it could be higher. Remember Ford has more cache in Europe than GM does, especially in the UK. They would NEVER buy a Vette in any real numbers, but if Ford did a good job, and it would have to be a good job, the Brits would snap them up too. In short, I think the business case for 30k units globally seems arbitrarily tied to typical Vette sales.

They made the gt for nostalgia

In a sense perhaps. They made it to go after the F430 (AIR) in a sort of celebration of the famous Ford/Ferrari kerfuffle surrounding Ford's bid to buy Ferrari and Le Mans. That was an interesting time.

The point is they spent some scratch on a halo car that definitely brought some prestige to Ford.

Well, their best years weren't exactly just after the 60s so my guess is they would've been sold at some point along the way when it was clear Ferrari wasn't exactly a good fit with Ford. Consider the more recent, and more plausible Aston Martin. Basically, all Ford did was modernize Aston Martin. There's some funny stories about that.
