Well as I am walking to my truck this morning and I notice that my tailgate is missing. Some asshole decided they wanted it and took it. Damn it! Need to find one at the pick-a-part because I really do not feel like paying the $500 deductible. If anyone sees a white one for a '99 F-150 let me know.:bang:

Also try All Ford Auto Dismantling in Placentia. I'd be surprised if they didn't have one.

My neighbor has a 2011 F-150 (read 'huge car') with a locking and alarmed tailgate.

I don't even lock my car...

All Ford Auto Dismantling in Anacrime only has silver. If I am going to spend $400 on a tailgate I am going to spend the extra cash and get a brand new one.

They stole it at my complex. Not hard to do when you have the thing off and are gone withing about 2 minutes. I lock mine sometimes and now that is going to change to always.

Guy get me that number.

What a rip off. I think with the bad economy people are going to junk yards more and they are jacking up their prices. It's getting ridiculous. I'm very close to not going. E-Bay is always cheaper and for the cost of gas to drive to the junk yard, I might aswell just buy the part at autozone.

It just supply and demand. If demand rises without a corresponding increase in supply prices go up. I don't blame them, I would raise prices too. I have a few rare parts and when the time comes that I sell them, I will be asking for the best prices I could get for them.
