I grew up in Norco, Horse Town USA. My dad was a Ferrier and I learned to do it from a young age. Because my dad is now elderly and can't do it anymore, I've started to trim our horses again. I've toyed with the idea of doing it very part time on weekends to make some extra scratch (need all I can get for other business). It pays pretty decent, but it is just about literally back breaking work.

I've been riding horses since age 11 and my family has owned horses since the 80's. I competed in Dressage & Hunter Jumper when I was in my mid teens into my 20's.

I have a great deal of respect for Farrier's. Very hard and dangerous work and a skilled Farrier is worth his/her weight in gold.
