My engine is not shiny, I have a choice between black powder coat and polished. Polished it cool because it shows it off, but I feel like it might be out of place. Black is cool because if I need to make an extra piece, it will be easier to match.
Help me decide!

Polished might make a small difference in temp as black absorbs heat.
On the down side polished needs to be maintained clean or looks pretty ghetto pretty fast.

I say go black. No needs to clean it all the time.

We're in Cali. The climate makes it much less of a problem over all.

Its just like the problem with wrapping headers, they will corrode from the inside out.

I think I'm going to get the black kit, if I need to buy another piece or two I can get it powdercoated to match. There's one piece right now that I'll need to use (fitted with the BOV) that is painted gray, which I know I'll need to match. If I went polished it might look pieced together.
I feel like I know which kit I need but I'm going to wait till I get home just to see how I need to run it. The way I'm picturing in my head might come close to the control arms.
But my intercooler came in the mail today! :D

I had my headers Jet-Hot coated inside and out for less than $200 including shipping both ways. They cleaned up the headers before coating removing all the flashing and burrs.
