See here (http://g.co/maps/cyr59) for route.

Meet at Savi Ranch (A) at about 3:00pm. Leave about 4:00pm. Depending on traffic (sometimes the 91E is not friendly even on a Sunday afternoon), you should arrive near the Inn before 5:00pm, with plenty of time to see the lights, take a horse ride, go ice skating or eat at any one of the many restaurants in the area. (B) is or at least was public parking. Ff you want to enjoy the crazy and cruise Mission Inn Blvd, it's just one further exit up past University.

NOTE: If you want to eat at one of the restaurants inside the Inn, they have a couple going fairly upscale, you would want a reservation.

Here's a video of the last time we went a couple years ago. It was MUCH later so there wasn't so much going on. It will be busy as hell this time. The Mission part starts from around 6:32

How far from nicks to mission inn? I think it would be quite a ways out of the way to go to nicks first, would rather meet up out there.

A meet spot somewhere along the 91 would be fine. Sadly, I'll just be returning from over seas, have a gig that day and will probably be headed out of town again that night, so I'm almost certainly out.

So what kind of food are people thinking? Do we want to take a look at the fox the same day?

Still very much in.

IIRC thats when it was originally but Ben will be out of the country or had a gig that day or something.

MG events are the second sunday of each month. We can move it to the first Sunday, but I can't make either because of business.

Whatta ya'lls want to do?

Shaolin Crane
11-21-2011, 12:16 AM
Doesnt matter to me either way, the 3rd just means less waiting for Vanessa.

I'm sure you've all missed me terribly, both my computers are down at my house and I'm too busy/poor to fix them until probably january. But anyway, I think Nick's is kinda far too, I live kinda by the 15 so I'd be driving west from my house then east towards my house and past it, then west back to my house. Just seems silly but whatever you guys wanna do, lol.

I think I'll set the meet point at Savi Ranch in Yorba Linda. That's worked well before.

See here (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=savi+ranch&hl=en&ll=33.871707,-117.734857&spn=0.004757,0.010568&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=37.136668,86.572266&vpsrc=6&hq=savi+ranch&t=h&z=17) about H. That's what I'm thinking for the start point. Unless anyone objects strongly and intelligently in the next couple days, this is what we'll set so we can push out final.

Thats about the opposite direction for me, so i'll just meet y'all there.

It's about 10 miles closer than Nicks. The difference is for you, and you're the only one out your way I think is that you could take the 60 all the way into the back side of Riverside rather than coming down the to the 91 at all.

Shaolin Crane
11-29-2011, 01:21 AM
Its 29 miles just to savi ranch. Then from there another 27 miles. As opposed to 32 miles direct to the location. So yeah, its twice the drive for me.

Leedom, you going for sure? Unfortunately, I can't. I landed a gig that day and I need the scratch, though it's going to be brutal just returning from the home islands.

My folks have a Cummins. Great truck. Loud as fuck though, you really feel like you're driving a commerical truck.

On a side note, I'd buy a turbo diesel sports car. Audi showed clearly they can dominate.

My old 7.3 was the same way, at idle or regular driving. My truck is an easy 160db at WOT, its kinda rediculous. But hey 1300ft-lbs is gonna be loud right?

Ive wanted to do a 6.4 mustang for a while now, obviously not the same thing as audi though

No Canyon this year?

Nope. Just straight out. Plus running carbon caynon earlier on a Sunday means you're just going to get stuck behind someone on canyon you can't really pass on.

Invite your friends though. I'm out of the country and don't have the list of sites we used to hit up for promoting runs, so it's up to you guys to make it swing. Looks like it's already going to be pretty good though.

They kept trying to stop serving hiim the "All you can eat" sushi...

It was a small turn out, and lost some of the group before we even left Savi.
Traffic was great, and the Mission was cool. 7 cars total I think made it.

Ever since i was young i could always eat more then my dad. When i was putting on weight i had to eat 300-400g of protein a day just to get to 205lbs.
