Hi Jon,

Hey thanks for the nod on my build. So here’s the deal, I just got the “G” where I wanted it and “The Wife” went with me to my friends place to check out his car for sale. So after she finished dancing around this sweet 1940 Dodge Custom Coupe (all done but some go-go parts, interior and glass) like a school girl just let out on summer break, I got a new project. Here’s the kicker, “The Girl” wants to design the interior, somehow I know there’s a chandelier in this build, oh and pillows got to have pretty pillows that can’t be used. So I guess with the sale of the “G” and the build on this project I will see you all after the “Home & Garden” Dodge is finished, warning keep the “Girls” out of the garage.:nutkick:

Take care Jon.

Haha, I just read what i orginally put, and I came off as a major tool. Let me rephrase "set her straight"
I would never treat her like that, what i mean was inform her of the yes's and no's of what you should and cant do. She wants to learn as much as anyone else, sometimes she will have oddball ideas and she needs to be visually shown how horrible it looks. And then sometimes she has good ideas.

Do you take kidneys as payments? I have 2, don't need both really. I do need some cash back though as a kidney is worth a little more than your car... say 10k back and I can afford a Honda RC51 to kill myself on hehe.

Good luck with the sale. I will let some folks know you're selling it and see what kind of interest there is.

Thanks that is very kind of you, keep the K's, both of them you never know when a filter could give out on some bad octane. Any help is very welcome, take care.

I had to go with a few more HP as the Dodge is on the heavy side, and the wife has more room to bring a bigger purse with her in this car. Ya-see in the Dodge she can bring the purse with the life raft, and the parachute in it.

05-17-2012, 06:13 AM
Nelson RE yes I would love to have a NRE for "The Dodge", :( but they cost to much, the one currently in "The Dodge", if it was built by Nelson would cost somewhere in the neighborhood of 40k, last time I looked it up. So it's on to the bargain isle, the engine came with the car and the 2-T's cost me 15C. I have to save some $$$$$ on the build, "The Wifey" is picking out the chandelier and drapes this week to coordinate with the bordeaux carpeting and leather ensemble in the main cabin of her rolling suite. Me-has a feeling that I have lost "The Dodge" to "The Girl". :censored: Oh well on to the next project....

Everything I've ever seen or read about NREs is that literally nothing is skipped or cheaped out on. Tom seems OCD to the max, I think he lives there 24/7. I think they represent a fair value . . not to be confused with inexpensive for the working man.

A GT-M with one his TT LSXs would be sheer madness. 800+HP on pump gas, 2,400lbs. Even with Gucci aftermarket suspesion you'd still be under $100k.

GTTS > Some
05-18-2012, 06:14 AM
VZ, you totally lost me at NRE, you must have me corn-fused with my evil RICH twin. 100K? Let's see, allowance $5.75 a week, lawn mowing $25.00 a month, aluminum cans $15.00 a month = 132 years and 3 months for 100k. So where does the 2400lbs come from, the curb weight?
Yes Tom's engines are tits, wish I had more jingle to throw into the project, I did pick one NRE out for day dreams. So pretty.

I mean less than $100k (less than a ZR-1) for Hyper Car performance. 2,400lbs is roughly curb weight for a GT-M as I recall.
