What's the best junk yard candidate for a donor inline 12V fuel pump to power my TBI? Going to the junkyard around 2pm.

Iroc should have one, but im probably wrong. Trucks will have an inline however

What about Mustangs? Are they in tank?

Almost all electric pumps in the tank. Mustang would be easier. 3rd gen IROCs might require dropping the diff and exhaust. Edit: Looked it up in labor guide....3.8 hours to change a IROCK Pump...vs 1.5 for Stang.

I believe he said inline though, not in tank. Almost all trucks will have an inline fuel pump, cars not so much. My mustang had some brand of inline fuel pump when i got it and i almost pitched it, good thing i didnt as i'll probably need it for the blower. I know 79-95 f series truck have a sizeable fuel pump, inline with quick connects.

Yes, he did say inline...missed it first time and I was responding more to the IROCvsMustang question. The Ford trucks used a inline high pressure pump with a feeder pump in the tanks on some apps. Can't think of a GM that used inline HP pumps off the top of my head.

I know mid 80's gm trucks used in tank pumps

Any idea of the pressure one of those big ford truck pumps puts out? I need it in the 15psi range.

Well if its a efi truck it should sustain what any efi 5.0 needs generally around 35psi IIRC
