I had one of my friends invite me to the new Google+ and I think i'm in love with it. It give me alot of control of what people see when i post something. It also helps that I don't really like Facebook.

I love it. I know Facebook hates Google and tried to plant negative stories about them. I hope Google+ does well.

Interesting. I had my eye on Diaspora, but that was too technical for most people.

I never really thought Diaspora would go any where. It seems too complex for what they do.
They way that they do groups (circles) is great. Its very easy to add someone to a circle. And they way it ask's when you post something up doesn't get in the way that much at all. They also have a thing called "sparks" i guess its suppose to start a conversation about a subject (they are searchable rss feeds)

With all this money and attention on FB, you would think they would get more clever with the games. ...Farmville? I mean shit, no one wants to sponsor that shit and get some sweet internet games on there? What a better way to advertise?

At this point, people are into the games that are there. They provide a context for social interaction, which is what the people are after more than game play per se.

I'm in. Now all I need is yet more time . . .

The circles concept, which assumes heterogeneous groups of friends, associates, fellow revolutionaries and the like, is far superior to FB. My car pals don't really want to hear about capital theory, and my econ pals don't really want to look at posts of Ayrton Senna. If they do, why they can just end up in both Circles. WAY better than FB.

FB Hater. At least G+ lets me believe that I can manage my privacy.

Yeah, Google has a great record on privacy. . . :ugh:
I prefer G+ for use case reasons. I use FB now, but will shift as I can bring over pals.
