I'm stocked. My aunt who pretty much always buys Hondas was looking for a new car. She test drove lots of stuff, but she just didn't seem that excited about buying another Accord. I threw out lots of options, but she wanted something that ran on 87 octane (eliminating the BMW 335, Infiniti G37, and the Lexus IS250/350) and that gets descent mileage.

Last weekend I finally tossed out the idea of a new Mustang V6. She went and test drove one and LOVED it. She also was interested in a sun roof, but the Mustang doesn't have one. It does have the glass roof option though, which she opted for. I've never seen a glass roof in person, but from researching on the boards and from youtube videos it looks really cool. She had to order the car because the glass roof is so rare, so it should be here in 8-10 weeks. It'll look something like this:

I'll have to get her to bring it on a cruise at some point :drink:

My Mom is looking for a new ride she likes the Buick LaCrosse and the Cadillac CTS but she wants a 4 door sedan that is kinda sporty in the 30-40k price range. She looked at the the Lexus is and the G37 not loving them. She is just waiting for something to just be in the driveway she not in love with car shopping.

Not that I would buy a V6 Stang but that thing is as fast as my V8 and gets way better MPG.:boggled:

Decent gas mileage - OK gas mileage

Descent gas mileage - Downward slope... so worse than before? :P

...I'm such a nerd. Hahaha

I test drove a 2010 V6 Mustang at Barrret Jackson. I liked it more than the 2010 Camaro SS, also test driven at the same event. The Mustang handled better, had more useable acceleration (especially in cornering), and was just more fun to drive (had a nice feel - the Camaro felt like a sloppy pig compared to the Mustang). I am really disappointed in GM after doing a direct side-by-side comparison of the new V8 Camaro SS vs. the new V6 Mustang.

Let's not forget the 776.5 mile-per-tank test done at 43.9 MPH, netting an impressive 48.5 MPG. Not bad for a 300HP V6.

Yeah, it looks super nice. I'm hoping she'll let me drive it at some point. I haven't driven a new V6 yet.

She finally got it today.

Bad news: the glass roof had a chip in it which has now progressed into a crack and will need to be replaced.

Good news: everything else. Really, really nice car. Kona blue is a beautiful color and the rims are a cool gunmetal gray. The interior is fantastic. I wish I could trade the interior from hers into the Cobra.

They came over after it was getting dark, so no pics yet, but I promise to get some soon.
