'02 F-250. Rear left indicator/brake/running light combo bulb not functioning. Wired to same fuse as right side side, which is working. New light bulb installed, no success. Could the socket be fried? Volt check the feed? Looking for ideas, suggestions. Thanks.

Id say use a DMM to check the voltage and go from there. If you don't get any voltage then check the pos and ground terminals on the socket for continuity, I would imagine any grounding or shorts would have blown the fuse but it never hurts to check. Other than that make sure the lead didn't some how get disconnected from the fuse box. I suppose its also possible that something cut the wire but isn't grounding it, have you done any work on the truck lately?

I'm willing to bet that the socket is bad. Use a multimeter, turn on the lights and check for 12V. Or try sanding the terminals inside the socket. Make sure that it is installed correctly, most bulbs need to be pushed down, turned and when they seat they will come back up slightly. If that makes any sense...

Thank you both for your input. I will test with a multimeter and go from there. It was weird, just started not working. Hadn't worked on it for a while. Will let you know what I find out.
