Cut the diesel muffler off, it's barely louder. The muffler is basically straight through, going to weld it on my friends 4cyl ranger. Should be louder than a flowmaster.

A turbo is a muffling device, cut off the dpf while you're at it

I have a custom 5" turbo back straight through tig welded exhaust in my parents backyard. I keep wanting to put it back on. But than I remember I like hearing the radio and my phone calls.

Dpf?
I was looking for some other resonator of muffling device to cut off, but all I can see are what look like two catalytic converters. And the is an o2 sensor behind the last one. And I really don't want to screw around too much and confuse this computer since this is a new car.

That's crazy, my friends neighbor had a 6" straight through pipe, then he removed it and had smoke stacks put in that came out the bed.

Oh I see, diesel particulate filter. I would feel bad for cutting that off, I just read that it removes 85% of the soot from the exhaust.
I need to find out if mine is the one time use filter or if it is the catalyst style. If it's a one time use filter and it's just clogging up the exhaust flow I might cut it off. But if it's the kind that burns off the soot, I'll leave it on.
