New toy to tow my boat and my future Camaro! Haha.

Limited slip front, rear, and center differential. With a 2 speed transfer case, a 5 speed automatic, and a 3L turbo diesel with 376 ft lbs of torque. This thing isn't screwing around.

I'll do something with it, either air bag struts and an SRT8 look, or a modest lift with bigger tires. It will be stock till I get out of school though. Minus a muffler delete and a chrome tip.

Nice. That's a much better tow vehicle than the Neon.

Good call.

I wonder how much one of theose diesel motors would be and how difficult to put in the wrangler.

The 2.8L I4 Mercedes turbo diesel in the Jeep Liberty CRD is the popular swap for the Wranglers. 275 ft lbs of torque and 28 mpg freeway in the Libertys. It has been done before, and it is pretty awesome. I would have done that if diesel swaps were legal in original gas cars, in CA.

You can pick one up complete for about 4K.

Takes off like a torque monster, ride and accelerates like a Mercedes. Makes love like a rusty piece of pipe.

Does a man really have any right to ask for more out of life? No. I think not.

A lady never asks, but I got a steal. Almost 30K off the MSRP when it was new.

The correct expression here is "a gentleman never tells," but sounds like you came out well. :drink:

Doy. I was trying to be funny, by saying youre not much of a lady.

I'm itching to get the registration done so I can have it inspected and chop off that worthless muffler. I was going to do side exit, but I thought it might not be fun to smell diesel for the rear passenger.

Yeah the smell is great but it gets annoying after a while.

Diesels develop the torque so quickly it's crazy. It moves you off the line, no questions asked. It's also funny how half throttle with a gas engine will cause the trans to downshift, while a diesel won't downshift so easily, but it will move you anyways. Haha.

What sort of exhaust do you have on your truck?

Vettezuki

Find a supplier of biodiesel and it'll smell like fried foods, french fries, etc.

I have been thinking about that... It is a little scary putting fuel that I made into a new car. I think I'll wait a while till I grow some balls.

I think you can handle cooking down some oils into, uh, oil.

Not sure if I mentioned this, but I always thought that my Jeep would be more front heavy than the gas V8 Jeep, because diesel engines are notoriously heavy.

Turns out it's 200lbs lighter. It's an aluminum block. That's some high tech Mercedes shit right there.
