Monthly Motorgen Meet and Cruise!

This month we're taking a little bit longer cruise up through San Gabriel Canyon through part of the Angeles National Forest. Here is the entire route if anyone wants to see! We will be meeting at the parking lot directly across the street from Nick's Burger at 3:30p.m. We are planning to leave for the cruise promptly at 4:00p.m. The cruise should take roughly 2 hours total. We will make one stop to collect everyone after we go through the canyon and I'll update where that will be in a day or two.

Good deal, I can wait to dyno... to be honest... SRTforums is doing a couple days comin up SRTs only for $45/3pulls with a/f... :sm_up_there: doesn't beat hanging out with a bunch of V8s though!! I'll be bringing a buddy of mine along with his SRT for dyno and or cruise.

Be careful !!!! We went up there not even 2 weeks ago and around a sharp turn sure enough there were 2 cops stoping every car that was with us. They asked us all why we didnt have front plates on etc etc. We're damn lucky none of us had to pop our hood open. The cop specifically said that now if you get a ticket IN AZUSA CANYONS for an illegal part when you show up to get it signed off they put your car up on a lift and check for EVERYTHING before signing your ticket off.

I dont mean to ruin the cruise, just trying to warn you guys that Azusa canyons has been used and abused and I personally would never go up there again with a big group of modified cars :P

hey Sean, my friend with an Evo told me the dyno day was not on the calender and ironically I was at GTpro yesterday, I even said something about it. I have my dads VR4, my friends evo, and a WRX wagon... maybe two
I noticed they removed your post on SoCal Evo and thats a bummer because thats where all the AWD Dyno whores are at. I really hope that we can get enough cars and if not maybe in the future... Then my car MAY be done, lol.

An officer so inclined to may ticket you for "exhibition of speed/reckless driving", will be hard to disprove, and will cause a whole calamity of hardship events.

We got hassled around 4pm so it wasnt a night time thing. Screw going there at night lol im sure it's even worse as more people would go up there at night.

It's basically the one we did going to the Bonfire last summer, except following some of the smaller off shoots. Here's a lead up to Silverado.

There are some definitely cool roads, that are not all that traveled out there, BUT it is tight and you can get scrambled easily with the many little off shoots. You could get seriously lost pretty easily.

Its more or less a back way to get from Jamboree to El Toro Rd.

Takes maybe 20mins from end to end and really sucks when you get behind slow people(which happens every time you go on the road). There is only one part that has legal passing lanes

Awesome cruise, Awesome view, Wicked CRAZY roads. So glad I didn't puke! And best of all the cops lets us be...no problems what so ever. Now I understand why that canyon is a cop trap. There is nothing but camp sites within the canyon, but it's a great place to have fun with a car. :)

Hey guys, I had to cut my trip short. My car started shifting erratically on the freeway (it's happened before), and sputtering. Some say I'm having issues with my torque converter. I did find that I had a spark plug wire that came loose, and I couldn't reproduce the problem I was having on the highway. Ugh, the joys of SHO ownership.

I'll take the blame for the one or two of them (as I was sitting co-pilot) but the first one (turn right onto brookhurst) yeah not mine. That would be all Adam. Sorry dude had to throw you under the bus for that one. :p But yes atleast we all made it out of the canyon, and safely. Next time I will make sure to look at a map prior to getting on the road to see where exactly we're headed.

Sorry about not making it but MY CRUISE POWNED UR cruise guys. lol I went to Eureka CA. I had to drive down and expedition that we got from a dealer up there. I flew friday night to San Francisco and from san francisco i grabed another plane to Eureka.
