Lets hear some mischief stories. I'll start us off:
When I was 16/ 17 we used to borrow traffic cones and road block signs then block off streets at 2 am. We started with smaller streets then worked our way up to Imperi*l Highw*y. We used flares for that one.

Played Hide and Seek in the under construction, Irvine Auto Center.

I used to explore caves used during WW2 when I lived in Okinawa. I found plenty of unexploded ordinance during my explorations and I defused several Japanese hand grenades with channel locks. My guardian angel looked over me during my years in Okinawa because I sure used up a lot of luck. My friends and I found remains of Japanese soldiers, found ammo caches and remains of weapons.

Ordinance wasn't the only danger in the caves and in the jungle, you had to worry about the Habu (poisonous snake), banana spiders and spider centipede (poisonous too). I used to go diving and we had to watch out for ordinance, sea snakes (highly poisonous), cone shells (toxic) and white tip sharks. I was young and thought I was immortal so that stuff really didn't bother me. I sometimes think about all the extremely reckless stuff I did and wonder why I am alive.

Yeah, in grade school my friends & I did the block off the street thing. How fun was that. When I was four I took myself for a walk. Luckily, I knew my address so I could tell the man that I encountered where I lived. That’s back when the world was safer, so I was returned home without incident. In my teens: motorcycles, rock climbing, surfing. Anything risky I guess.

I've been dirt biking and rock climbing too, I think of that as more recreational and less stupid. Although, the 50 foot jump that I hit on a dirt bike course in Lake Elsinore that caused me to break several bones, lose some skin, and forget who and where I was for about 30 minutes was pretty stupid I suppose.

Did you go indoor or outdoor rockclimbing?

My summer vacation after H.S. was sort of an homage to stupid. My personal favorite memory was buying those giant rockets you can get in mexico, sticking them in the end of a PVC pipe and launching them at friends in the ocean. Made one of my friends deaf for a little while. Luckily I didn't detach his head. Later on in my youth, when I was aobut twenty I did a full swan dive off the bridge at Universal Studios Ampitheater after an Oingo Boingo concert. You really go right through 18" of water when jumping from about 15-20' up. And that's why I have a slightly crooked nose. It was also the first time I was handcuffed.

Bringing back memories now. When I was much younger <10 I lived across from a large river bottom wilderness area. Decending into this area were some steep decents, I mean like 30-45 degrees. During the spring it'd get all green. Some friends and I would take cardboard and slide down those hills at some ridiculous rates of speed, jumping over rocks and ditches. Never a broken bone. The nannies would lose their minds at the stuff that used to be common back in the day.

When I was about 13 or 14 Phil and I would go out to the hills in Diamond Bar where we lived and have BB gun wars with our friends. We'd make up teams and then just try to shoot each other. You could hear the BB's wiz by.

That is nuts.
I used to play fire ball with my friends. We used to soak a tennis ball in gasoline, light it on fire, then play catch with gardening gloves. It made a really cool sound as it flew through the air.

Did you go indoor or outdoor rockclimbing?Outdoors. Twentynine Palms area mostly. I’m having fun with this. I forgot all about explosives & B.B. gun fights. A friend of mine figured out that you could disassemble Estes rocket engines and make really good smoke-bombs. When I was in Jr. High we rubber cemented a bunch of them together, lit ‘em on fire, then closed them in my locker. It took a while, but they finally ignited into this huge white smoke cloud. A teacher ran out of a nearby classroom with an extinguisher trying to “put out the fire” but it was empty or something because it didn’t work.

You'd almost certainly be expelled, if not incarcerated for that now.

One time, while cruising the industrial park, we foung a case of 8"x8" glass sheet/tiles. They where thin and fragile. Decided to fling them like frizbees to the street below a park. Light traffic wizzing past ! Got a little less stupid and just lined the crosswalk with them and watched the cars run over them.

I've got another one, we used to go "couching." Haha. When someone would leave an old couch on their curb we would tie each corner (at the base so it wouldn't fall on its face) with a tow strap to a truck, then sit on the couch while someone dragged it down the street. It was really fun.

I remember doing that. We use to do it tandem. We would sit sideways on the skateboard and put our feet on the other persons board. Then lean back to turn.

I knew a kid that lost half of his thumb doing that. Was a neighborhood tradition to gather the skateboards and race down the long steep hill in the middle of suburbia. Then he let his thumb slip under the wheel going 20-30mph. We didn't do that anymore.
I didn't do much stupid things as a kid, just general reckless behavior. Jumping off roofs, jumping off roofs drunk, rolling down hills ragdoll style, slamming on front brakes and flying over the handlebars at high speed, thinking I was some sort of BMX prodigy and going of jumps WAY too big for my own good, having rock throwing wars, diving face fist into the shallow end of a pool, drug experimentation, bottle rocket wars in mexico, mixing countless types of alcohol then watering the bottles down so we didn't get caught then throwing our guts up from the disgusting concoction...
Now that I think of it I was pretty stupid. Kinda funny thinking back about how indestructable you were as a kid. If i did half the shit I did back then now I'd be a cripple.
Stupidest thing I did was when I was an adult tho. Thinking I was hot shit and running from the cops on a bike then getting caught a few months later by the pursuing officer. >.<

It started in 2nd grade with thumb tacks on bottoms of this guy Mickeys char. But progressed to ordering pizzas to neighboring houses from pay phones. We did some blowing up shit in the back yard. There were flames over the roof the FD came my buddy said it was the BBQ and he says this isent my first day look at the trees. They were all brown and burnt. Shooting a bum with a potato launcher. One of my buddy's passed out on a couch once so we tied him down to it and loaded it in to the back of a truck drove him to a park and dropped him off in the middle classic. He finally woke up made it back very confused.

When i was 8 i started making my own fireworks, needless to say, after several 3rd degree burns on my hands, losing my eyebrows a few time, and completely burning off the hair on my head and almost burning down the house, i got better at it :)

I spent a night in jail when I got arrested a few months later. I actually got sentenced to a year in LA county jail but because the courts didn't have their paperwork together the judge let me off with 3 years 'unofficial' probation.
A night in jail and the cop (La Verne PD, same motor cop) impounded my bike twice ($700 >.<). Once when he arrested me and the next day when I was out getting food.

When I was 16/ 17 we used to steal traffic cones and road block signs then block off streets at 2 am. We started with smaller streets then worked our way up to Imperi*l Highw*y. We used flares for that one.
Fixed that for you
I reasonably sure those were the road flares that I stole out of the back of a cop car.
I don't think you were there when we blocked the street off/made a detour in a circle. We saw the same cars make right turn after right turn and kept going in a big circle until they finally broke the detour. :sm_laughing:
I guess you could count that as the stupidest thing I've ever done... but I do have a lot more stories.
