So my CV just ripped itself apart :-(

So i guess it just gives me a reason to buy pair of new anti-wheel hop axles :-P

At least it didn't completely snap in half. Are the new half shafts your looking at stronger than the stock ones?

The CTS-V's are notorious for eating up halfshalfts :(

Yes the new ones are made out of 300M. And they will get rid of my Axle-hop. but the only problem is I'm going to need to get a outer CV joint and people want 400$ just for the outer CV. The new axles are 499$ so im going to try and find a used axle and just steal the outer CV from it :-(

I just got some new FG2 shocks so when I install them this weekend I'll take the axle off and see how bad it really is.

Well i figured out why my CV blew... I snaped off on of the bolts that holds my diff to the sub frame. The diff seems to be in good shape but almost all of the bolt is stuck inside. I tryed to walk it out with the rear end still in my car but i just dont have enough room to work. Im going try to use the lift at my buddys body shop so i can drop the rear and drill it out that way

Use a reverse threaded bolt remover screw thingy. You drill a hole in the stuck bolt, then the screw in this thing. Because the threads are tapped in reverse, when you screw it "in" it will pull the bult out. I have one, but forgot what they're called.

They're called easy outs and they work great. I've used them many time on broke intake and header bolts.

She is all back together. I'm gonna do a longer shake down drive (did one at 4 just to make sure everthing worked) and then doubble check that everthing it tight
