Ok my dad and I just got back and man it is a beautiful drive and one of the best roads I have ever been on. We did it backwards because we were already in Temecula but it took us an hour and a half to get to Hemet.
So the run will be- start at the Lake Elsinore Outlets, hop on the 74 and take that to the 215, then hop back on the 74 (you can not stay on the 74, it stops in Perris and you HAVE TO get on the 215 to continue on it in to Hemet) and take that all the way up to the 371, then on to the 79 in to Temecula and we will stop in Temecula for food.
We will stop right before the twisties to regroup just incase. Later today I am going to hop on Google Maps and figure how to make the route.
From the starting point to the ending point will be 2 hours give or take 15 minutes or so. It is only about 85 miles of driving so everyone just fill upon gas before the cruise and we shouldn't need to make any gas stops. And if you have water injection make sure she is full.
Trust me when I say- The drive is beautiful, alot of trees ans what not. This blew the Ortega side of highway 74 clean out of the water! I hope to see a nice turn out and meet some new people!
I copied my post from rx7club. We already have quite a few people coming for sure but I want more people and more variety of cars! Plus I liek everyone I have met on Motorgen meets so I would like to see some or all of you out there. :drink:

More people!! I know it is to early to plan but it is going to be a really nice run and I like the people on this site and would like to see some of you out there. When my dad and I test drove the route there was a caravan of Ferrari's and Porshe's and I think one lambo so that has to tell you that it is a nice drive.
What is nice about this road is the turns are tilted alot rather than flat and there are spots where it goes to 2 lanes just incase some idiot wants to do 5 mph.

This is essentially Palms to Pines Hwy. I’ve been wanting to check this one out myself but haven’t had the time. I may do this with you guys. (I’ll know more when I see your maps) Hope the weather is good; they get snow in this area.

Still want to go, just don’t want to get lost on the way to the meet spot. BTW, had fun talking with you guys at the restaurant.

Here is the route as I understand it. Not sure where in Temecula it will end for lunch. . I based this off the route posted in OP
.http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=I-15+S&daddr=33.73884,-117.08824+to:33.5672608,-116.5969911+to:Temecula+Pkwy&geocode=FTY0AgIdAm0B-Q%3BFVjQAgIdEGAF-Sl5ExBsUGHbgDGPDNvBELk57g%3BFRwyAAIdAd8M-Snrr5GfeqjbgDH2tKCwq-HmAw%3BFWvN_gEdGOsE-Q&hl=en&mra=dpe&mrcr=0&mrsp=2&sz=11&via=1,2&sll=33.540822,-116.885605&sspn=0.38345,0.889206&ie=UTF8&ll=33.571722,-116.996155&spn=0.383313,0.889206&t=h&z=11

^ YES!!! EXACTLY RIGHT!!! I could not figure out google maps, so thank you. Everyone open that link and read up. I don't know where to stop and eat though, I think we will just randomly stop or talk about once we all meet up.
2 More Days!!! I can't wait!!! It has been a long time since my car has made it to a cruise and I just got some new coilovers and beefy sway bars so this ought to be interesting.
There is susposed to be a REPU there to. (rotary engine pick up) I hope he shows because I love those things. It's still riding on old shool leaf springs too.

How about this ? Ritchies All American Diner. On Hwy 79 , right side. It's nice to have a spot in mind ahead of time. And I checked , they will be open Sat.

Richies Diner sounds really good. I think we will do that. I have stopped there on the way home from Ocotillo Wells to use the bath room but I have never eaten there.

Hey sean, John here, 10yearrx7's dad. We had 13 cars show up for the run, four of which were from the Motorgen crew. Great run! sorry you missed it. We will probably be going on the Palomar run. Are you planning on going?

Most got over and there are passing lanes on the way up. One a-hole on the way down hwy79 would not get over, and everybody got around him, except me !! Frankie gave him the finger as we got into town and passed him.
Lunch was great ! Good food and service for a party of 21 with no call ahead:lmfao:

I'm so bummed I missed it. I had the weekend from hell. The little guy has a cough/cold and also another tooth came through so he's been running a temperature. He can't sleep for more than about a half hour at a time, so the last two nights have been miserable. I'm so tired I can barely function. Alexis has had even less sleep though and seems to be managing somehow...

Been there and done that many times. Don't worry there are other meets. Family comes first. Hope the little guy is well soon. Just wait until school starts, kids love bring home all kinds of illness to share with the parents. Then they recover quickly while you suffer longer.
