So with the advice of Vettezuki I am starting to research camera bodies to update my equipment in case my back up plan needs to be put into action.

My mom (the owner of my part time job) just updated her equipment to a Canon mark II 5d and I have fallen in love with the quality, clarity, and color that it has been producing. Upon doing my research, I have come to find out it has a flip'n 21 megapixels. My current camera body has 6 megapixels (10d) and is only 6 years old. Have we really grown 15 megapixels in 6 years? In all reality, what the fred are you going to use 21 megapixels for? Unless you blow it up billboard size, you don't need that many. I just find it crazy. Next you'll see it 50, 75, 100....ay yiy yiy.

21 MP? That would be insane. Mine is 8 MP and that's great enough, I thought.

I'm no expert on the subject, but that never stops me from giving an opinion:

Let's say you wanted to a closeup picture of a circuit board. 21MP would allow the viewer to zoom into that picture and see very small traces This is sometimes useful . . . if you need to take pictures of circuit boards. :leaving:

As far as I know, as long as it's a 35mm SLR, in that 8+MP range, the real big deal is what lenses it will accept. That's where the "magic" is. Oh, and that's where the money goes. :smack:
