The guy that is leading us does these canyons quite often and he has his GPS in his Lancer.

The problem arose as we got split by slower cars, lost the lead group and played follow the leader of the pack we ended up in , who lost his directions !:smack:

Yeah, that's the problem I see with a huge group of cars. That's why we try to keep the group under 20.

Im guessing 50-60 miles. You can see Glendora Ridge Road below (on that map) at Mt Baldy, thats roughly 20 miles. Another member on our club made the route up, so Im not too sure. I just top off before we head out.

I was thinking more in terms of time, not very comfy with harnesses and no AC in a stiff coil over stang

It depends on how many stops we take. I'd say roughly 2 hours.

Well as long as i can work the kinks out of my spine on the stops i can deal with that.

Yeah, we always stop and take breaks. Sometimes 20-30 minutes long depending on how much bullshitting we do. We also do group photos as well.

Perfect, works for me. That keeps me from wanting to put away the race car to drive the couch.

Great track for the run tomorrow... the reports say that it will be hot, and may I share a point? In 2009 I was on the Station Fire power grid clean up and as a year has passed another emergency notice has been issued for a fire watch during this September end weekend, in this target area and many others. Just a suggestion, Super-car Sunday is tomorrow 9-26-10, "Snake Day", Cobra vs. Viper, so would anyone be interested in a early A.M. run to that event? Maybe October would give up a cooler day for the Angeles Crest run.
Take care all.
