On another note, I watched Alice in Wonderland the other night and was thoroughly unimpressed. Tim Burton generally makes bad movies now.

Check out the geometry of the parthenon. They figured out a mighty long time ago perceptions are tricky, but can be calculated and integrated into design. In short, it appears to be constructed with straight lines, but it is not. If it were, it'd look "funny". At least that's what I remember for a documentary on Greek architecture.
