More like tens of millions. If it was his fault his career is over. If it was mechanical failure, well, it was a mechanical failure. In either case, he survived and that's good.

I wonder if the armed services carry any kind of insurance on capital assets? Probably not. :huh:

I highly doubt they have any insurance other than an open check to fix any damages they create.
