Well it's official, in an effort to bring down my monthly bills thus being able to save some money I have (all be it reluctantly) sold my 2008 GT500 and bought a used 2007 Parnelli Jones Mustang . my Shelby will be sorely missed but the new PJ will help negate the sting of my loss.

Sorry to hear about the GT500, but a Parnelli Jones is not a bad consolation prize :)

True it does run pretty nice and I got a good deal, it still has warranty till 2016/100,000 miles and only 8000 miles on it .
I test drove a 2011 GT Mustang and the PJ felt way better plus when I was all done(with my car as a trade in & no down) the PJ was only $27,000. saving me $300. a month in car payments not to count fuel costs

I'm surprised the 11 GT wasn't comparable to the PJ. Did it feel slower, or did it just not handle as well?

Just a guess: springs, dampers, tires are a bit more specialized than the OE stock units on the GT.

When my wife saw that comercial she thought of me .

As for the '11 GT the chassis is much stiffer which was great but the suspension was soft , the engine was super quiet, power didn't come on till 4500 rpm then it felt ok but the shifter was vague I couldn't feel it going into gear and the clutch was softer then a Honda.
Now don't get me wrong I loved the car it's a great starting point but the PJ is already half way there out of the box (plus I love the way it sounds)

Do you know why they added rear window louvres on? The original didn't have them?

Yep, great looking Mustang. I was thinking the one with Number 14 on the side.

This is better.

The dealer is looking for a set of static cling numbers for me, they were suppose to come with it originally

I like it better without the "14" on the side. BUT there could be times when it just might be needed-------:pot_stir:

I think Sean was referring to the original Trans-Am car that Parnelli Jones raced. It didn't have louvers.
