So today was my first day and it was a test and tune day. I went today because I needed to find out what the Chevelle would run on just motor. Most people probably wouldn't complain about about their car running faster with each pass but when you are trying to get a dial in time for bracket racing it just plain sucks!
My first run was an 11.18 at 119. My second run was an 11.10 at 120. My third was an 11.13 at 121 and my last was an 11.06 at 121. Hopefully tomorrow I get another pass in before we start eliminations. Wish me luck.

Thanks. I just have to remember to pay attention to the lights. I only payed attention to the lights on two of the runs where my reaction was .034 and .071. The other two were .2 something and .34 something.

Nice work. Seems like a fairly tight spread on the ET, your RTs are probably where you'll win or lose. Now kick'em in the balls.

I don't want to run on the bottle because I don't know how many runs I'll be making and I only get about 8 before the bottle is empty.

Today was just more time trials for Bracket 1 and the car was much more consistent. I think it had to do with the fact that the temp was about the same all day and that the lines moved slow so the car was cool on all three runs. Before I post my times I have to say that the little bit of porting that I did on the heads helped so I'm glad I didn't mess up my $2500 heads. My quickest time before porting the heads was an 11.11. Yesterday I went 11.06 and today my best was 10.994. That's right, I finally have a 10 on just motor.
So now for the run down. My first run was at 9:13am this morning and I ran an 11.002 at 121.40 with a 1.564 60ft. I was so excited that I was so close to running a 10. As I said yesterday I needed to pay attention to the lights so I did today. My reaction time on this run was a .038. My second run wasn't until 1:28pm and was my 10.994 @ 121.08. My 60ft on that run was 1.545 and my reaction time was a .082. My final run of the day was at 4:27pm and I ran an 11.017 at 121.25 with a 1.541 60ft and a .036 reaction. I also have to throw in that I didn't get tree'd at all today. I beat everyone I ran off the line.
The weather tomorrow is supposed to be similar to today and if it is I will set my dial in at 11.00.

I added the three from today. The ones from yesterday are still in the truck so I'll add them later.

The day started off great. Oddly enough I made my first run at 9:13 again and backed up my 10.99 with a 10.993 at 121.63. My 60ft was 1.545 and my reaction was a little slow with a .080. We only got one test run this morning so I decided to use an 11.00 dial in time. At around 10:00am they called us up for the first round of eliminations. They got through about half of our class before it when it started to rain. It rained on us for about 15 minutes. It was 11:06am when I made my run but it didn't go well. I pulled up to the burnout box and did my burnout in second like I also do and rolled to up to stage. I staged and then hit the transbrake button and gave it full throttle like normal. But the engine bogged and then slowly started to pick up rpm. By the time it cleared out and got to 3600rpms the green light was already on. I released the button and the car hesitated just slightly. My 60ft was only a 1.590 and my reaction was a pathedic .994. I ended up running an 11.025 at 122.12. I'm not sure what happened but I have a feeling that it was because I don't have a hood so everything in the engine compartment got wet. It just sucks that the car ran so good the entire weekend until it counted. Stupid mother nature!
Well I still had a good time and will definately be doing it again. I set my quickest N/A time (twice) and ran my fast N/A mph to date so I can't complain to much.

Thanks. I'm anxious to get back out to another Street Legal event and run the car on the 150 shot to see how close I can get to the 9's.

I guess it's time to put a hood on that thing to control for possible condensation.
