SexyLexy (Sean's wife) posted this on her FB page just a little while ago.

Water broke at 3:40am so Jack should be here today. Pain is picking up so I'm trying to keep my calm. I will post pics when the little man arrives. Thanks guys for all your well wishes :)

Labor is unfortunately not progressing. This would mean having a c-section which we really wanted to avoid :(

It would mean 3-4 nights in the hospital and obviously would make recovery much more difficult.

Yikes. What's the hurry, can't it sometimes take up to nearly a day?

They give you 24 hours from the time the water breaks. The water broke at 3:40 this morning.

Both my kids were C-Section babies. I watched both get delivered. You can choose not to have a C-Section on your next child.

Jack has entered the world everyone! He is 9lbs 15oz. Huge kid. Hopefully that means he will not grow up a scrawny wimp like his father!

We all have a new family member!

Yeah, he was giant which is why the labor was not progressing. When the doctor finally pulled him out he just laughed and said this kid is huge. I still wish we didn't have to do a c-section (now Alexis has to stay at the hospital for 3-4 more days) but it was still pretty cool.

Jack's a great baby. He doesn't cry almost at all. I did change his 1st diaper this morning though and that was something to behold. Everyone told me it would look like tar, and they weren't kidding...

Thanks for all the kind wishes everyone!

When Reiko had her hysterectomy (basically same procedure as C section) she was out of it for a couple days, and took a couple weeks to really come around. Alexis has a whole other layer of bodily/hormonal stuff to deal with. Hope she feels better soon.

Congratulations! To give you an idea of size for reference Sean, Mya was 9lbs, 10oz. Jack is a big boy!

Wow that is big! I was 9lb 8oz and Sean was 8lb something so we expecting something big, but not THAT big :)

We're doing so much better now that we're home and in the comfort of our own things. The delivery was rough with 21 hours of labor then a csection and recovery was even worse. The hormones definitely played a roll in my shakes and other pains but by day 3 I was feeling MUCH better and was getting around and starting to feel normal. Drugs are a great thing :)

I hope to see you guys all soon at the next event and Jack will be in attendance as well.

Thanks again for all the well wishes. Our son is pretty awesome and Sean, even though he might drive a 12.5, is an AMAZING father and I couldn't ask for anyone better to do the job.

See you later! :)

Holy heck Sean and Alexis! You made a person! :) Congrats!!!

Btw, there is nothing wrong with cesarean birth. I was a c-section. All it means is that your baby is going to have a nicely shaped head, like me, and it's less strenuous on your wife and her anatomy.

My GF thinks that she may elect to have a c-section, and I want my wife, (assuming someone is stupid enough to take on that role someday) to have a c-section birth.

Mt GF's sister in law had a c-section the first time, and elected to do it the second time because it was just easier. +3 for c-sections.

It's no cake walk if your GF decides to elect to have a c-section. It's major surgery. Lots of risks involved and so on.

Right. In some cases it's medically necessarry (yours) but it's my understanding that it is WAY over "prescribed."

One of my friends on FB is a Dr. who just had her 5th son. She's ALL into the birthing being a moma thing. I should refer you. Maybe you can pick her brain in the future :)

I'm thinking the last thing on her mind right now is going through another 9 months of labor.

My wife and I have 3 children. The first was a C-section. The next two were natural. Natural was hands-down the better way to go. Recovery from the C-section was no fun while having a newborn.

It only took my wife 4 hours to pop out our daughter.

So does this mean we can have family oriented meets too?

Heck I always thought we were at least somewhat family friendly. Wide age range, some kids now and again. But going for it, show/picnic?, would be cool if that's the kind of thing you had in mind.

A picnic would be fun. There are several nice parks around here in Fullerton and Placentia. Plus I bought a kick ass portable Coleman grill that's perfect for bbqs. Plus the little one is too small for my aggressive driving in a canyon run so this would be a good way to be able to let my wife and daughter join in some Motorgen action.

I have picnic meets at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley with another car club. The southeast corner has a very large parking area and BBQ grill and some tables.

As for the picnic and family friendly stuff, I'm down. Hopefully we can do something before it gets too warm, and I think Jack and I will be out of cruises for a bit while the car seat I don't believe will fit right now. Sean also fears the exhaust on the cobra will be too loud :(
