Apparently someone got sick or sad, but my orders just changed. I should be back in S.D. this July as the USS Topeka Weapons Officer. Great deal for me. I was already the Assistant Engineer, Assistant Weapons officer, and Navigator (temporary gap fill) on that boat. I had just rotated off of her March of 07. This will make integrating back to the ship really easy for me. Cross your fingers.

Word. Is the Topeka scheduled to go out to sea anytime soon?

Well Boats gett underway very regularly ~85% op-tempo. But she just finished a deployment this last winter so nothing longer than a few months in the near future.
