Hey peeps; been to a few meets but have never posted. My name is Jason and I drive a 09 Subaru WRX. The car was used as Eibach's test car for their new suspension kits for the 09+; she has a turbo back exhaust and is pro tuned. Within the next month she will have a turbo-xs front mount intercooler and a KS Technology big maf cold air intake...then a retune. I came from the diesel world and love the fact that this car is much cheaper to mod than the diesel. Figured I'd say hello and looking forward to meeting you guys.

Front lip that we imported from Australia since no one makes a "nice" fitting lip for these cars

It was good to see you again today - love the car. I can't wait to see what it does after the next set of mods :)

Welcome. If I had to buy an import I would totally buy a WRX. I have always liked them.

Thanks guys  looking forward to meeting you all at the next meet.

My build is taking a different approach now, so hopefully by the next month the car will have the following parts.

Turbo xs front mount intercooler & BOV
KS Technology 73mm cold air intake
Walbro fuel pump
750+cc injectors
Tomei Expreme EL headers and uppipe
Prodrive electronic boost control solenoid
And a retune

Figured I could update this thread....so the car now sits on a set of BC coilovers...the ride is nothing short of amazing and handles completely different than on the stock struts and Eibachs (which I thought was a great ride compared to stock). The car will be corner balanced and aligned tomorrow by Darrin and Westend Alignment.

So far the only things that have changed from my original list are the headers/uppipe and injectors. I will be running a GT Spec EL Header and Uppipe and she will be on 1000cc DeatschWerks injectors instead of the 750's. The car (at some point) hopefully sooner than later will be on E-85...so the 1000cc are a must. I also am adding in a set of STI "group N" motor mounts, transmission mount, as well as a Kartboy pitch stop mount. The motor mounts will definitely cut down on the rock that I get when getting on the throttle. UPS should be showing up by Friday with the header and all the mounts, then the header will be taken to Embee for a black ceramic coating inside/out.

I got the FMIC piping, intake and BOV back from getting powdercoated. I settled on silver-vein as it isn't to flashy but I think it gives the piping some "class/bling" (if they can be used in the same sentence). Here are a couple pics....Sorry about the quality, they were taken with my phone.

So after everything is installed the car will be heading over to Shawn @ Church Automotive Testing to get tuned. Next on the list will be a gloss vinyl roof and some Treble Racing badges on the car, a carbon fiber hood/trunk, a set of 18x8.5 SSR Type F wheels in black and a Blouch Dom 3xt-r turbo with a meth kit....I have to give a shout out to Vim @ Treble Racing for sponsoring the car and taking my money. Everytime I talk with him something else gets added to this list.

Thanks guys!!!

Got the car corner balanced and aligned today @ Westend....WOW what a huge difference that made in the way the car handles. It drives like a completely different car. Also got a baseline tune done at Church Automotive Testing, the open source (road tune) I was running put down 289hp/339tq to the wheels on Shawns dynapack; not bad considering a stock car puts down 240-250 and all I have done is a catless downpipe, SPT catback, K&N drop in filter & the road tune.

Cant wait for the new mods to be installed :D

Nice Car! Welcome aboard. What's with the piggy sticker? I've seen it a couple of time, just curious.

It first started I believe in the 80's on Japanese "skin" magazines. If you do a search, I'm sure you could find some info & pics.
The pig is considered a "rally pig" that was used on wrc cars years ago. My 2 1/2 year old liked it so I put it on my mirror. It will be coming off and will be replaced by a Treble Racing badge.

Thanks Sean, I'm hoping to have everything on and tuned by May 3rd....We are hoping to be putting down around 320hp+/360+tq on the stock turbo and probably 370/370 with the Dom3xtr....still undecided on the turbo though.

What are the internals good for power wise? Forged rods but cast pistons in the WRX, right?

Sean, honestly I don't know about the internals....I know people are putting over 400 to the wheels on e85 with no issues to the clutch/transmission....depending on how you drive the car. The transmissions in the 08+ WRXs are the same found in Legacy GTs, and JDM 5-spd STIs. It's not the (problematic) transmission from 02-07 WRX.

Just a teaser....Got the intercooler on and trimmed the bumper/grille. The TurboXS fits like a glove, no issues what so ever. The GT Spec ELH, uppipe, motor mounts and trans mounts should be on either Thursday or Friday. Cant wait to see the header after the black ceramic coating.

I have no idea. I talked with my tuner today and he said if I would run E85 and scale the injectors I would see about 20whp; that is no more boost and no more timing.
For example he mentioned an Evo 8/9 on E85 you could run 32psi on the stock turbo and timing which I think would put you in the +60whp range.

The car made 318whp/334wtq at 18psi on the stock VF-52 and pretty steady at 11.1 afr. Now the next main part on the list is the turbo which I'm still deciding on....should put me around 370ish.
Finished pics of the piping etc...The car PULLS

Thanks, the Eibachs are now residing in Canada with the stock struts. The car is now on BC coilovers which are a huge improvement over the stock struts/Eibachs. The car does sit about the same; probably a hair lower than before.
