And it said I hadn't played in over 82 days :sm_up_there:

I am looking forward to Street Fighter IV a lot though. I was a Street Fighter junkie back in the day and the new version seems awesome. Anyone else getting it?

I wouldn't expect you to, you'd just fail at it.

That's most encouraging thing I've heard in a while. :rolling: I know the Game Crazy in Fullerton (maybe all?) is doing some kind of a promotion where the first person who pre-orders Streetfighter IV, then comes in and beats the manager gets it free.

I'm a maybe. I don't think fighters are a good investment if you don't have anybody to play with :p.
Have you tried the resident evil 5 demo? I wasn't very satisfied with it. It feels like Gears without the cover system.

Hmm, Sean may be able to give him a run for his money. If I remember right, Sean's quite the bitch with Ken's hadoken...

Probably not at first...I've got plenty of other games to beat still, but I may later on down the road.

This is correct. It gets used more as a DVD player now but as we discovered last night we have netflix for a year and we can play netflix on the 360. We downloaded the program last night so I'll have to see how it works after I do my workout video. :)

Have a good weekend.

Yep, since the new update you've been able to stream Netflix to the 360. Tivo can know stream Netflix too.

Just be careful, I've read a lot of people that have cable through Time Warner have been exceeding the new 250gb monthly bandwidth cap because they download/watch so many movies in a month.

I setup NetFlix on the 360 tonight and watched Gone Baby Gone. Pretty impressive stuff actually. The quality isn't quite as good as a DVD (it is streaming after all), but it's a really nice to be able to stream movies via the Xbox onto our main tv :D

Mmm, DVD really ain't all that hot so a step down isn't too inviting.

Yeah, although it was nice to just watch a movie on a whim without having to leave the house

It's the way everything will be eventually . . . on demand. There's fundamentally no reason to possess any physical object. I have sort of a love hate relationship with Rhapsody. It's nice to just go browsing the so much music but their codec makes me want to murder. I'm not so happy about this reversal from times back, when the focus was on quality and not quantity. Eventually the quality will catch up. But there's also part of me that agrees with Stravinsky. Recording is one of the worst things that ever happened to music; it made it substantially cheaper in the ears of the masses. Anyway, no sense crying for the moon.

mmm on demand cars...theres a company out there like that right, where you pay into it monthly and get high end car "rentals" for a specified number of days per month?

That's really just a time share system. I meant for anything digital. Ultimately there is no reason to buy and store software, movies, music, etc. Physical stuff is a different story, though ideas like the community cars have been booted around. There's a chap in England working on a system of fully automated personal transport vehicles that you just get on as needed. Unfortunately, human nature ain't so hot when it comes to taking care community property.

What's the deal with Time Warner??? I just signed up with them and recently started using Netflix thru the xbox. Do they shut off the Internet or cap the bandwidth when you exceed their limit? I hadn't heard of this being an issue.

Oh and I agree the quality is so-so for movies, but Ive been using it for primarily watching episodes of The Office and they are actually HD and look MUCH better.

Yeah, the tv shows are good except for the fact I can't stream Big Love which is the show I actually want to watch. I wonder if HBO stops them from doing it or something...
