I lied to myself when I said that I would leave this car stock. I did get a new PCM with a tune with all the torque nannies removed, will give 100% throttle in first and second, top speed limiter removed and fuel tables modified. This morning I was contacted by a vendor (fairly well known specializing in muscle cars) that would like to create hi flow intake for the V. In exchange for a two day loan of the car, I would get a new intake and some dyno time. My plan is to get before and after dyno runs with the new intake then install the new PCM to see what gains I might have, and make sure I am not too lean at full boost WOT. I hope when this is done I will have 420hp or so at the wheels with 400ft-lbs torque.

That's awesome Bob, I look forward to the results. Can you tell us who the vendor is, or is it top secret?

I don't want to mention the vendor until development is completed. As soon as I can say who it is I will post.

I was suprised that some one would invest $$$ in making an intake for such a limited edition car that is no longer in production. I hope they don't have a change of heart. D3 makes an intake and filter but they want almost a grand for the setup. When I went by the place I was looking for the gold plating on the part. I know you need to recoup the R&D money, but I thought it was excessive.

Hell, I'll have to park the Vette now. I'll not be able to keep up with a Cadillac.:smack::drink:

Congats on the intake situation... Id love to be able to even get a used intake for a grand :suicide:
420 to the wheels will make your STS one hell of a sexy sleeper

D3 is way over priced. They make good chassis stiffening stuff though.
