It looks like Ford is going to make the base engine in the F150 for 2011 a turbo 3.5L V6 with 400hp and 400 ft/lb and then also offer a 5.0 DOHC V8 also with 400hp and 400ft/lb as an option. (http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/20/report-2011-ford-f-150-to-share-new-v8-with-mustang-also-get-e/) The final option will be the 6.2L V8 that will go into "special edition" F150's and should have upwards of 450hp. That's a pretty good lineup of engines as far as I'm concerned, much better than years past.
The 5.0 is also the engine rumored to be going in the Mustang GT in 2011 :D
Also, the TT motor is going into the Taurus SHO, but probably will be rated at 355hp. I wonder if Ford will offer a kit to turn the boost up to get it to the 400/400 number from the trucks while still maintaning warranty coverage - that would be sweet. I'd also love to see a shootout between a TT V6 Mustang and a 5.0 DOHC version :sm_laughing:
