Hey guys,

I think we need to go do another off road trip. How about March? I need to check dates for the Street Legal Drags, but I think we could put it together by then. I'm going to let Ron post up some suggestions, but I was thinking of doing the same trail but going all the way through this time. What do you guys think?

I'm up for it and I'm sure Throttle Crazy would be too. Are you going to see if Jeff and his dad (Paul?) want to go do it again?

You got it right...Jeff and Paul. Jeff just had a baby (2 weeks ago) but I think we'll totally check with them to see if they want to attend.

Throttle Crazy and I are going to be out at the TDS (Tierra Del Sol) event the first weekend of March (6th, 7th, 8th) so we can't do the run that weekend.

My thinking is that you're out of town and there is a street legal event on the 7th, we have another Motorgen Meet on the 14th, and I wanted to make sure I keep one weekend clear (the 21st) so my wife doesn't kill me :surrender:

Yes. It only took about a week for it to fully heel. We tease her everytime we have soup not to try and eat it with her foot. I found a couple in the Explorer from when we went to the snow a couple of week ago. How they found the rocks under 2ft of snow I don't know but they found them.

My XJ is down. Issues starting and just driving it - it will cut out randomly. On top of that something is wrong and making it so I can't turn the key past RUN to engage the starter. :bang: Won't make this one...

I broke my first front axle birfield joint at TDS and am working on getting
it up and running by sat. I have to work on sat. until 12:00. I am going
to drive the FJ40 to work if it is done and head up at 12:00 to meet up
with you. My wife is going to meet me at work with the kids and the family
will be with me on the hunt to find you. I will head up to Arrowhead and
meet you at Deep Creek.


I left a post on the Heep, I mean Jeep. :theehee: There is a Crank Sensor
issue with those year Cherokees. I would look into the harness kit and
Crank Sensor. As for the ignition cylinder it is an old school GM column
and should only take a couple of hours tops to fix. If it is a tilt wheel does
it have excessive play? If not or it does not have tilt, it is probably
in the rack or ignition switch at the bottom of the column. I hope this helps,
if not just remember J.ust E.mpty E.very P.ocket.

Don't worry about it. The new fuel pump in the Explorer started acting up so I have to drop the tank and take a look at it anyways. I'll be able to do it Saturday now instead of trying to rush and fix it tonight.

We'll if you get a hankering to see RX-Snake underway for body work, we'll be getting into it rain or shine. Also, I'd like to dissassemble the engine and send out the internals next week or so for fly cutting and balancing. Still need to get the flywheel, so it's not a super hurry. But if you're suffering from RX-Snake withdrawals. :smack:

Good news. It looks as though the over heating issue was just a bad thermostat. I put in a new one and drove it around yesterday and everthing seems to be fine. So when did you want to reschedule this run for?
